Lazy Summer Days . . . the epitome of kayaking!

Ahhhh, the lazy days of summer. This is what kayaking and life is all about . . . sometimes! The good times!

Do you see the two little white eyes at the top of the first picture? Click on the pic to enlarge it. Cheeky bug. Not afraid of the camera either. This is not a zoomed in shot. I was taking a picture of the nose of my boat when this guy showed up and stole the shot. The camera lens focused on him instead. A nice surprise.
My feet are underwater here. Pretty nice stuff! I mean the water . . .

This one (or maybe most of them) is for love of kayak. I love this kayak so much! The Maelstrom Vital 166.

Ahhhh, the lazy days of summer. And I just learned that all those pesky big black "picnic hungry" ants can't climb up beer cans, so at least part of my lunch is safe!

So many nice spots!
Enjoy finding yours!

  3. Dragon flies... Or, I love this one, Snake feeders. That's what I grew up in Indiana calling the little devisl. Harmless, but I always look around with I see them. Never know what's lurking in the weeds.

Nice photographs. I guess you like the new boat :-)

...Oh, and my favorite lunch item... beer. Calories galore, and great flavors. All in the same liquid. Who could ask for more?

    Enjoy your blog.

  4. Dragon flies... Or sometimes called Snake feeders. Whenever I see these little fellows, I always look around to see what else is lurking in the weeks.

A friend on the CPA website just posted a photo of an orange one. I've never seen one before, but this one was incredible.

The Lazy Days of Summer. Yup, that's what they are. Incredibly warm days, in anticipated thunder storms, showers, and fun. I like your lunchs, BTW. Packed with calories, great flavor, and the ability to adjust any attitude. Beer. The multitasking lunch.

Keep posting the great summer photos. It will soon be Autumn, and we'll be looking back trying to remember what we've missed.

    Best,
    Dave
